Book of your past

Left behind

Left behind is a series of 8 books talking about the end of the world threw the bible. The book I am reading right now is called Assassins which is number 6 in the series. The authors names are Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. I am currently reading this book right now. I was giving the book for a present and I usually read it in my free time. I was introduce to this series by a friend who is a catholic believer and wanted me to know how the end of the world would be like as if it was going to happen during our time. The book ties people on how they don't believe and God and they are lefty behind to suffer or they could ask and believes for forgiveness and they would be granted but only for those who believe in him. They will not be taken to heaven  but in death they will be with their loved ones in heaven. I remember it so much because I am still reading the series and its interesting to know how things would end threw a religion point of view. My favorite  part so far in the book is knowing someone is going to kill the Antichrist and the Antichrists will come back from the dead. I would recommend this book to someone in the class if they have a religion. The book is very sensitives topic  and it could start an interesting conversation with those who believe in the bible and those who believe in science. The book ties with the bible and has about everything on how the world would end and see the Antichrist as their  savor. Instead the Antichrist will make up lies to get his own way and seem to make everyone believe he has the answers to all there problems.

Grip of Life
In the end of the story Tortilla Curtain the most valuable event of the story is when the flood destroys all hopes and dreams washing away all the sins, hopes, and life. This event takes place in the last few pages of the book. The flood becomes a symbol of never ending disasters and pain. It is important because Candido and America had it bad already with no jobs, no home, and with a blind child. They had nothing , just a little bright light which was their child Soccoro. Even then Candido was already doubting any great future for his own daughter. He saw himself actually gibing away his daughter away to marry someone he owed money too. With the flood it destroyed everything America had a grip of life, "A grip of Hope".Just like when Candido helps his own enemy "Delany" the same man who was going to kill him, gave him a hand when Delany was drowning . Candido pulled him up and saved his life. Ironic how Candido became Delanys grip of life and death. However many fail to see the importance of the flood. The symbol it stands for. Other readers argue that the flood is not important because it didn't solve anything or ended with a happy ending. I disagree with them because the flood was the grip of life. The symbol of the tide turning not for the good but too show to never judge people about how they look and how they god there. Instead listen and help. Become a grip of life people need. It shouldn't take a flood to make people realize it too late.

Compare and Contrast

Candido and Wounded Race Horse.
Candido hope is like a wounded horse leg ready for a race. Every thing Candido does is useless and tries very hard to make a difference. Every step he takes forward it is like he takes two steps back. He finds a job makes money then he gets robbed and sometimes does not  even get paid for the job.One good thing leads to a hopeless disaster. He is like a hopeful racing horse with w wounded leg hoping for one day to get back in the race. For example when Candido got hit by the car he wanted to get up and work really bad but each time he tried to get up he was full of pain and fell right back down. Candido wanted to get back in the race to make money and survive.Just like every race horse when they are wounded and all there life all they know what to do was race. No matter what the horse tries he or she will not be as fast as before. They both have a hopeless dream to move forward and that things will get better soon. No matter how hard they get hit they will just want to get back up but as everyone knows a wounded race horse with a bad leg is usually put down because they will never will be the same racing horse and they will usually be in pain for their  rest of their lives. Just like Candidos dream and hopes to move forward its time to put them to sleep. No matter what he does things will not get better and he needs to go back and start a new race. What ever he tries he does not make any improvements. Seems as if things are getting wore for him in the story. He cant proved for his family nor him self

My Shelfari Book

Shelfari books
In my shelfari book shelf I added the currant books I am reading. I added the left behind series and the tortilla curtain. The left behind books are based on a biblical point of view. The series takes place in currant time so the bible can tie to our lives. The book is about the end of the world and those who believe in God are taken to heaven. Those who don't believe in God stay behind and live in fear because the world is going to go threw numerous tragic events. In the end of the serious those who believe in God would end up with a cross on there forehead. For those who have the mark of God they will not be attract by the demons from hell. In the end of the series the world goes to an end and heaven and hell and those who didn't believe in God would not be protected and feel a lot of pain during the war of good and evil. The last book I added to the shelf was the tortilla curtain. Tortilla curtain is a book we are reading for this class. The book is about four lives that come together on the end. I have not finished the book right now but I can tell you it's a very sad book filled with hope  but there have been no actual facts that show any improvement for their lives. The book seems to be more concentrated on the lives of the two Mexicans who came illegally for a better life. The other two who the bold talk about are lives of a married couple who are American citizens and cross bath with one of the Mexicans lives and change there point of views with illegals and with protecting human rights from illegals. The book over all is a very sad and depression book and it gives you an idea of how it actually is for those who come illegally.

Two Truths One Lie

Two truths and one tarnation thar Lie ---Anthony Villa Jara

I have a dog named Bear which I share owner ship with my cousin because I'm not allowed to have a dog where I live. Bear is suppose to be a guard dog but instead he turned out the opposite. Bear is a chow chow that means he is super fluffy. That means that his fluffiness causes people to want to go and hug him. Over the time now that people hug him so much he is now a soft dog. Bear does not even bark at dogs that are just walking by the fence. Instead he goes for the smallest animals.
Once when I was doing my training in the ambulance we received a 911 call about a lady who is having trouble breathing. As we arrived to her house I notice that the lady only spoke Spanish. At that time I was the only one in the crew who spoke Spanish the paramedic only spoke English. As I try to help her she refuses care and only wants the "gringo" to help her. As the paramedic went to help her she got undressed and started to say in Spanish Ill do anything for the white boy. She undressed so fast we had to cover her in blankets and was screaming to me to translate this to him in English "there is only love for the white men and blue eyes".
I was born in Texas and moved here to Imperial because of the weather. At the time I was in Texas my brother and I worked as cowboys in the farm. We were living the life of chewing tobacco and riding horses. Sometimes well go out in shoot while listening to country music in the Chevy. I loved my cowboys days so much I tattooed two cowgirls on my back saying home sweet Texas. One of the girls tattooed on my back says 'Round them up Cowboy". Those were the golden days in Texas.

Beacon of Hope

                                                          Beacon of Hope

I didn't know what to do in my life as I was growing up until I meet Dr. Ortiz. Dr. Ortiz became my teacher and mentor for medicine. He showed me the ways how to give a hand and make everyone smile. At that time I knew I wanted to help the sick and make things better, but something was still off. I still remember the day, two vehicle collisions in the highway. The patient we picked up with multiple trauma. Blood was everywhere as we tried to help the patient the patient screamed more and more in pain. At that moment you couldn't recognize if it was even a person. The shirt was full and stained of blood, bones where out of place, and skin flapped everywhere. Guts where on the streets, people crying, the smell of gas and blood in the air. The patient looked into my eyes and what I could understand was “God help me”.  Blood soon was all over my gloves and uniform. We quickly patch the patient up and started to treat the patient in the ambulance. I quickly felt a rush through my head telling me what to do. Seconds seemed as hours, I didn't freeze like others would do. I was surprised that I remembered all my training and did it exactly what the books and skill sheets said to do. It all happened so fast then I started to realize the screaming stopped but the crying continued. Then after arriving at the hospital the patient grabbed my hand, gave me a slight squeeze and said,” thank you and god bless you”. That moment I realized who I am and what I’m here for. I became a beacon of hope, a light in darkness, and a stranger that would hold anybody’s life before mine. I became a face of imperial.
